The creation story of Waipunalei Ohana Farm products began with a desire to make herbal medicine that filled our own health & wellbeing needs. Soon I learned our beloved community was also seeking body care products that are pure, made with familiar ingredients that feel safe to consume, from a source we know, love, and trust. I began making skin healing salves to use with diapering my 5 babies decades ago, knowing that lavender, calendula, and comfrey medicine were so miraculous that they consistently delivered the results I was seeking, every time.  This salve became my go-to first aid care for just about everything and still is today. I believe in the healing power of plants and people, and that when a nurturing relationship is tended, healing happens naturally in the perfect way, just as Nature is designed to do. I've been passionate about homesteading, farming, cooking & medicine-making for over 3 decades, and in current era we live in, I couldn't be any more grateful to have a home-based family farm business creating and providing medicines that greatly improve the quality of life for all living beings. My children are presently old enough to assist with our entire farming and manufacturing process. From the soils we grow our medicine in being nourished by hand, fertilized by the animals we raise, to the careful practices of sustainable harvesting at peak times for optimal potency, growing practices aligned with lunar cycles, heirloom seed saving, low temperature fan-drying in our handmade dehydrator, and so much more... we take our time, and our process is old fashioned. Our homegrown herbs, flowers & roots are slow infused into oils, rich seed butters & hydrosols that make up the potent botanical medicine we create every product with. Returning to slow, simple, tried & true wisdom and practices that have perpetuated healthy life since antiquity is at the heart of what we do. In a world where everything seems geared towards efficiency and a fast-growing pace, we have found so many gifts in slowing way down. We do not aim to produce the fastest, biggest or most of anything, but rather, we are committed to quality over quantity, and presence over automation. Our specialty is crafting artisinal masterpieces that truly leave you feeling, smelling and tasting like our backyard herb & flower gardens.
